Hello!
I'm a United States Air Force veteran who now calls the Midwest home, where summers can be brutally hot and winters remind you who's really in charge.
By day—or more accurately by night—I work in information technology, helping support the U.S. Air Force's 557th Weather Wing. Like many people in IT, I've accepted my role as one of the computer overlords' loyal servants.
Life Outside of Work
I'm happily married and privileged to serve as my wife's caregiver. Much of my free time is spent reading, exploring science, following advances in astronomy and physics, practicing with my guitar, or disappearing into a good video game.
If I had to choose a favorite game, it would probably be No Man's Sky. Its combination of exploration, discovery, and wonder never seems to grow old.
Learning & Spirituality
After finally completing two Master of Science degrees, I promised myself I was finished with school...although I still seem incapable of stopping learning.
Spiritually, I spent years asking difficult questions before finding a home within Ár nDraíocht Féin (ADF), a modern Druid fellowship. Curiosity has always been one of the constants in my life, whether it's directed toward science, philosophy, history, or spirituality.
